Dogwood cuttings ?
AWM wrote: What is the best way to propogate dogwood from cuttings ? It's easier to peg it down to the ground and cut it free after it has already rooted. On a decent clump you can usually find a few pre rooted pieces occur naturally. Indeed you need to remove them periodically to stop the stuff spreading along the border. Variagated froms are not so vigorous. I expect it will grow fairly easily by taking standard cuttings but I have never bothered intentionally. The odd stick put in to keep cats off the veg patch has been known to root though. Regards, Martin Brown |
