Conifers ?
I have a couple of questions on conifers I hope you might be able to
help with. In the past I have had not much luck with Chamaecyparis, they always seem to suffer from brown windburn, no dogs to blame, Firs and Pine seem to be OK. 1. I hope to buy some Junipers, will I have windburn problems with these ?. 2. My neighbours drive is only 1.5M from a high narrow window in my lounge, since I would like some privacy I would like something that would grow high (2M) but not get too bushy. I have thoughts of the Juniper "Skyrocket". I am aware that tree roots can damage foundations, do the root systems of conifers (e.g.Firs, Pines, Junipers) propose any less of a threat than those of deciduous trees ?, i.e. would my proposed Juniper be a bad idea ?, any other suggestions for a privacy screen?. TIA Paul |

any other
suggestions for a privacy screen?. you could stick trellis up and grow climbers in pots, or anything else in a pot if worried about the foundations. Hayley |
