Hello all,
Can the group help me out myself and the wife have just fixed up the front green and with a mix of plants, and herbs. I was wondering do they have to be removed before the winter. Or will the come back need year. Big Malkie West for Scotland |

Big Malkie West for Scotland You'll have to tell us which plants you've got: some last for years ("perennials"), some live only for one year ("annuals"), while an in-between kind take two years to flower and then die ("biennials"). Most ordinary cooking herbs are hardy perennials, and will stand the winter well without any special treatment. -- Mike. |

Or will the come back need year. Depends on the plants and herbs. Some will die off completely over winter, some will die down and come back next year, some will carry on growing through the winter. A few bulbs and tubers need lifting over winter and replanting next year. -- Kay "Do not insult the crocodile until you have crossed the river" |
