Lawn Re-seeding Bare Patches
I need to re-seed bare patches in my lawn, but I also need to weed, feed and
mosskill the lawn. Do I weed/feed/mosskill first and re-seed some time later; or do I re-seed first and weed/feed/mosskill later? Thanks. |

Tender young seedling grass does not like weedkiller being applied to it for the first few months. It makes sense to get rid of most broadleaved weeds before adding new grass seed. Also spread a bit of the new grass seed out past the edges of the bare patch or you could end up with a patch of distinctly "new" looking grass that is obviously a different colour to the existing lawn.
