When I was in Camp Hill Prison a House Burglar told me he would never break into a house if there was a dog there. "Why frightened of dogs?" 'No, the damn things bark and can wake the owner' Dog. Man's best friend Drugged meat or a bag of wet sand the burglars best friend So how did you escape? |

Cut the top and bottom off 2 litre pop bottles then cut up the length, they
will close down like plant sleeves and will protect the stems from chewing/strimmer damage etc, and at the price (Free) just cant be bettered. -- David Hill Abacus nurseries www.abacus-nurseries.co.uk |

Isn't there a deposit on them in UK? Come quick Jenny, there's money to be made :-) I still remember watching Dutch guys with a camper in Greece collecting Belgian PEP Spa bottles from the beach to take back to NL to collect the 50Cent deposits. |

Come quick Jenny, there's money to be made :-) I still remember watching Dutch guys with a camper in Greece collecting Belgian PEP Spa bottles from the beach to take back to NL to collect the 50Cent deposits. When I was doing my National Service back in 1958, those who had joined as regulars had a lot more money than us (we had 10 shillings a fortnight, 50 pence to you youngsters), we would take 'their' Coke bottles back to Naafi and have the 3d deposit. By agreement of course !!! But of course these were the days when one met a girl, courted, got engaged, got married, got a house and THEN had children. During the 2 years of National Service we saved sufficient for the deposit on a house, so when I came out, we had a roof over our heads, BEFORE we had a family. OK so I am an old square, but I know where I would rather be now :-))))))) Mike -- H.M.S.Loch Fada Association Reunion Scarborough April 2nd - 5th H.M.S.Newfoundland Association Reunion Hayling Island April 23rd - 26th Royal Naval Reunion Eastbourne May 7th - 10th H.M.S.Collingwood Association Reunion Bracklesham Bay May 21st - 24th |

"~Barbra~" wrote in message ... I love climbing plants, such as Clematis, Honeysuckle etc., but my 2 year old Jack Russell likes chewing the barks and they die. Actually she does it to everything apart from plants I have in containers, so is it OK to plant climbers in containers ? Barbra Clematis are perfectly happy in large tubs In fact in my garden they do much better in tubs than in the ground I tend to plant 3 Clematis in each tub with varying flowering times and right now they are all well in leaf |

I can assure you of success. It won't damage another plant. Ludo |
