Can you grow RHP's from seeds collected from the plant or is the only
way to divide them? If so when should it be divided?

In principle you can grow RHP's from seed. I've only grown them from
packet seed, never collected my own. But I don't see why not, assuming
they set viable seed in the UK.

Probably the best time to divide them is in the autumn, but I've
divided them successfully at almost any time of the year down here in
the far SW. They don't like poorly drained soil BTW, except possibly
Kniphofia Northiae.
