Default lawn sowing

Having sown my lawn 2 weeks ago it is now coming through in patches is this
normal or should i have an even spread ?

Yes and yes. If you get an even spread, then you are considerably
more competent than most people :-)

Yes and yes. If you get an even spread, then you are considerably

Will the lawn even out eventually, and at what stage does the lawn require
its first trim ?

Yes, and when it is growing well (say 4-5" high).
