Default Tomatoes in grow bags

I've currently got 8 cherry tomato plants in one grow bag, I know this is
more than recommended, am I likely to get a really poor crop even if I make
sure they are always well watered

Thanks

I'd guess that they wouldn't actually have room to grow! Buy another
growbag at least, they're only £1! Mine reccomended four to a bag, but I've
always grown up with three to a bag so that's what I did. I doubt you'll
get a good crop at all because they won't have room to develop inside the
bag or above it!

Charlie.

Chris
What made you try to fit eight plants into one growbag? Did someone tell you
to do this?

Inexperience, they seemed to fit so I thought it would be alright. But then
I kept hearing of everybody else having 3 max. As Charlie said they're only
£1 so I think I'll get myself another

Toms need loads of air circulating around them, in your case they have no
chance and will probably succumb to something nasty and fungal/mildewy well
before they could ever get to full size.

You should be fine.

I've been growing cherry toms in medium size yogurt pots since January (two
to a pot in some cases), so none have been over-endowed with soil and/or
rootspace, and I have now just about finished harvesting a very good crop.

I stood all the pots in a growbag tray and only watered with rainwater.

I reckon yours are sounding pampered!

Mine, in yogurt pots in my bedroom, have produced a good crop.
