Ca anyone help? We have just acquired 1 ha in France but there is Japanese Knotweed there in large amounts. As we want to use the land organically we would like to know of any way to get rid without poisons. We are also thinking of keeping pigs there. Will they grub it out or is it poisonous.? Thanks Rob and Claire Use Goats to eat the tops and shoots and use pigs to grub out the roots. You won't get rid of it but you will control it. |

Why are we getting these old posts cropping up, this one must be a record at 19 years old every year cut off the fresh shoots. they can be peeled and eaten quite tasty. after a few years it gives up so they say. |
