Agreed. Crocuses and tulips should be planted in November. Bluebells
can be planted in Autumn too, or in late Spring "in the green" (in
growth, with leaves on), after flowering, which is useful if you're
transplanting them.

Indeed it is. Although I can't be precise off the top of my head,
planting time for these autumn flowerers is only weeks, not months,
before flowering, so probably about mid-summer. Catalogues usually
specify planting time; in fact, they usually won't sell these bulbs
after a given date.

I find Bloms are good, if a little more expensive than some. I have
also bought from Parkers who have a fairly good selection and their
prices are reasonable. However, order earlier rather than late, to get
the best bulbs and results.
