My immediate thought was Spanish bluebell. If you have even one in your garden you will soon have more! I have battled with them unsuccessfully! Don't give up. Spray with glyphosate, and after a couple of days remove the leaves. That gives enough time for the glyphosate to be absorbed and get down to the bulb. New leaves will appear. Spray again - and so on. You may need 4 or 5 attempts, but you will get it in the end. But you must be vigilant; as soon as new seedlings appear, pull them up before the bulb gets too deep. -- Jeff |
