Beetroot sown last year
Beetroot was sown mid-August last year.
That was too late. It hasn't grown much. Roots are about half-inch diameter. Plants look very healthy. If they are left, will they just continue growing and turn into useful sized beetroot? -- Chris |

Follow the advice on the seed packet. Which is not to sow them in August. You can't sow many veggie seeds in August for them to do well. |

Unfortunately it's unlikely that they will grow well now. It's best you pull them out and try again. In the right conditions beetroot will grow very well with little effort.
