Default My mole

finally had enough of it under my paving. Had a molehill overnight and dug
down to the tunnel and the trap is set.

I do wish I didn't have to.

Chances are you will find the trap full of soil

Yes that what happened, Mr Mole is very intelligent.
Like rats. Rats will cover a trap with soil too to set it off so it doesn't
catch them.

I have been wondering if you "washed" your hands in mud before you
handled the trap. If not you may well have left your smell on the trap
which is why it was filled with soil.
