He gave the paper to my son and I wonder if he still has it, or, as he's now here, if he remembers what it shows! No wonder flights have been cancelled! I just hope and pray it blows through tonight and that tomorrow brings calmer weather! -- Sacha www.hillhousenursery.com South Devon |

According to the weather station at Jersey airport at 10pm, it was 987 and falling. Met office surface pressure forecast showed it passing us on its way north - unless I mis-read the animation Mail and newspapers got in a couple of hours late this morning and one flight from Exeter has managed to land. Everything else delayed until lunch-time at least. Oh, and ferries aren't sailing so the UK is completely cut off at the moment |

The correct international unit is now the hectopascal! Fortunately one hectopascal = one millibar, so the conversion is not too difficult. http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/repor...ectopascal.htm -- RG |

To convert millibars to inches of mercury, multiply the millibar value by 0.0295301. Or use an online converter eg Inches-Millibars Pressure Converter
