I presume you mean the plants, they do look dead at this time of year, plant them straight away. -- Charlie, Gardening in Cornwall Holders of National Collections of Clematis viticella and Lapageria rosea cvs http://www.roselandhouse.co.uk |

Plant them out soon and they'll start growing in the spring. If you can't plant them immediately then cover their roots with some earth, (heel them in), until you do have time. Just dig a shallow trench where you want them and put the root end in the trench and cover with soil. they spread by runners under the soil so you will soon have plenty more. Next spring they will grow new green canes from the ground up, when they fruit depends on whether you have bought summer or autumn fruiting canes. -- Charlie, Gardening in Cornwall Holders of National Collections of Clematis viticella and Lapageria rosea cvs http://www.roselandhouse.co.uk |
