Magnesium Deficiency
Steve Harris wrote: My tomatoes have leaves yellowing between the veins and even dying around the edge. Looked it up and diagnosed Mg deficiency. Also noticed that the raspberry leaves looked similar but not as bad. So I went to the chemist for Epsom Salts ("It's not for me, it's for may tomatoes!") and did a foliar spray. Question: I'd much rather sort my soil out - how? It's naturally alkaline and sandy and was previously a bramble infested lawn. Dolomite is a slow release magnesium source, but it also makes soil even more alkaline. (Anyway growing tomatoes in the same soil two years running is asking fro trouble) Regards, Martin Brown |

Urglers, There's a band of dolomite running from the Durham coast to Nottingham - as I said once before, but where can I buy dolomite grit? Geoff |
