Got the first few of the tree dahlias planted this afternoon, and was
planing to get the rest in tomorrow, but now the blasted rain is back, heavy showers and it's supposed to turn to heavy rain in the morning. |

And I cannot describe how threatening the sky looked, either. All very peculiar! And now what a change. I don't know how much but we've obviously had significant rain overnight - it woke me up in fact. And it's raining lightly now. We have rain forecast for the next seven days. It's overcast and dry at the moment. -- Martin No rain here. South East coast of the Isle of Wight Plenty of wind. Blew the Honeysuckle over the hole in the Bluetit Box. The birds managed to squeeze by, but I have hooked it back up now :-)) Mike -- .................................... It's overcast and dry at the moment. I had to go out to a meeting this morning. I cycle everywhere and this was the first time I've been drenched in months (so long ago that it wasn't actually unpleasant). There have been showers on and off all day and the windows are getting wet once more now. I doubt it has gone more than an inch into the beds but it's a start. Warwick |

Some intermittent, fine drizzle during the day, but by early evening
the sky cleared. Sunshine and clear skies again this morning, which is OK, but I'd much rather have some of Dave Hill's torrential rain - my plants need to do some growing and sprinklers or hose pipes are never as effective as a steady rainfall. |

Chucked it down all day at my end of Swansea Bay. I don't have a rain gauge but a non scientific observation is that the water level in one of the birdbaths was an inch higher in the evening than it was in the morning. Fine day today though. Jake |

Well, intense sunshine again so I've decided upon something that I
know to be even more effective than the Zuni rain dance. I have just donned a brightly coloured (Hawaii Five-0 stylee) shirt and am off to jet clean the car before bringing it back to be clay-barred and polished and buffed to a blinding shine. That has always got the thunder gods worked up into a full fury before now so it should work yet again. Besides, Justicia carnea and Radermachera are doing the Lazarus thing out in the border despite having been frozen in December and they need prolonged, thorough drenching to get going fully again. |
