seed to plate
I've just heard about this web site and it might be of interest to
some people here who are growing their own food. www.seedtoplate.com My apologies if everyone but me has already heard of it! ;-) I'm now off to the island of the potato & the dairy cows for a few days and hope to get newsgroup access sorted out when I get back! -- Sacha www.hillhousenursery.com |

Judith I'm counting on it! They also lost some plants during the winter, so I'll be counting those. My son's favourite - or one of them - is Salvia argentea and they all got wiped out so replacements will be winging their way soon. I'm also going to try to ID some Camellias they have there which have seed pods the size of small apples. Neither Ray nor I had seen anything quite like them so I'm hoping some are still in flower now so that I can photograph them and try to find out which they are. This is the second year running that the island has had bad frosts which is just about unheard of to my knowledge. Once every 5 years and then not for long and not usually very severe is, or was, the norm. Must be global warming. ;-) -- Sacha |
