Hi All
My brassica seedlings are all dying, and I'm not sure what I've done wrong. If anyone has any suggestions, they'd be gratefully received. Here are the details: I sowed some seeds of cabbages, broccoli, and cauliflower in seed trays in my greenhouse about a month ago. They all germinated nicely and looked very healthy at first, but most of them have since died. They are in 40-compartment module trays, 1 or 2 seeds per compartment, so I don't think they can be too crowded. I've watered them once or twice a week, when they have started to look dry. The greenhouse isn't heated. Any ideas? Too cold? Too hot? Too much water? Not enough water? Anything else I might have done wrong? Many thanks Adam |

Provided it's not an especially cold part of the UK I would always grow on, even germinate, seedlings of Brassicas outside, but watch the pigeons. Probably too extreme temperatures in the greenhouse recently with the spring sun and cold nights. -- Regards Bob Hobden just W. of London |

Probably too extreme temperatures in the greenhouse recently with the spring sun and cold nights. Thanks. That makes sense. It probably has been getting quite warm during the day lately. I'll take the surviving ones outside and hope they cheer up a bit. No need to watch the pigeons: the cats do an excellent job of that all by themselves! Adam |

Worth paying for a quality product like Levingtons IMO. -- Regards Bob Hobden just W. of London |
