Those leaves look like tissue paper They do and they're a gorgeous plant. You don't seem to see them around much now and I can only assume it's because they're tricky to propagate - not impossible, mind you - and because they must have full sun and dry feet. And they're not more than half hardy, which puts a lot of people off plants in case they lose them and have to replace them. I love them because a childhood garden had a mass of them so I have fond memories. Yes, they are, and I am trying to reestablish them. I had a good patch, but had to move them because (a) they smell a bit (I wasn't worried, but she was), (b) they scatter lots of sticky yellow pollen and (c) they root run and will lift slabs. None of my root cuttings took, so I bought a plant, but it hasn't taken off so far. Regards, Nick Maclaren. No, they're a bit of a pain to get going - I have a mental note to ask Ray how/if ours are doing! -- Sacha http://www.hillhousenursery.com South Devon Exotic plants, shrubs & perennials online |

Now you're being silly :-) Storks only pick aphids off electricity pylons, old chimney pots and other man made constructions. Surely everyone knows that? -- Gopher .... I know my place! |

So it works for me... .... maybe we have got your share. The birds that we feed don't eat our aphids either although Sacha's feathered friends eat her aphids. Finches don't include aphids in their diet, and the spuggies aren't fond of them either... You need lots of tits... blue, great .... even coal. -- Gopher ....
