Protecting trunks of roses and fruit trees set in lawn
I have a standard rose and Siberian cherry set in a lawn. I have a
hovermower and of course it bumps against their trunks and chips at the bark. So I have cut off 6" lengths of small-diameter rainwater pipe and cut a slot along one side. I clip this cut tube round the trunk, it looks fine, and it is excellent protection. Michael Bell -- |
