Hydrangeas, weak stems
Can anyone tell me how to strengthen the stems of hydrangeas? I have a new one, bought last year and it's growing beautifully but every time we get heavy rain the stalk bend, sometimes snap and they never recover thereafter. I don't want to lose the blooms for next year.

You may need to support them, but that is very difficult and expensive with so many flowers to support. It is not a question of strengthening the stems. Regards, Emrys Davies. |
