Can't believe it - we actually had snow this morning and quite a lot of it
for about ten minutes. It's gone now and none of it lay on the ground, the sun is shining and comparative normality is restored. But apparently, up on the moor children are playing snowballs! -- Sacha http://www.hillhousenursery.co.uk South Devon 'We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.' |

Here it may be the heaviest snowfall of the winter; it looks as if there's over an inch on north facing roofs on the other side of the street - but it's already gone from south and east facing roofs. -- Stewart Robert Hinsley http://www.malvaceae.info http://lavateraguy.blogspot.com |

Not a single flake, while the rest of the country is covered in the stuff! There was a tiny bit in the morning, but it was gone by lunchtime. I was foolish and neglected to check the forecast, and on the strength of the warm weather of the previous day I transferred my tomato seedlings (sowed ten, got three; see other thread) from the conservatory to the greenhouse, and lost one to the cold.
