Have a look for Blue Colorado Spruce (Picea pungens Glauca Globosa) -- Sacha http://www.hillhousenursery.co.uk South Devon (remove weeds from address) 'We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.' |

Plantfinder gives for Glauca forms of Abies (fir), Cedrus (cedar), Chamaecyparis (false cypress), Cunninghamia, Cupressus (cypress), Picea (spruce), Pinus (pine), Platycladus (Chinese thuja), Pseudotsuga (douglas fir) and Tsuga (hemlock). Blue gives much the same genera, but also Juniperus (juniper), Microstrobos, Podocarpus, Sequoiadendron (redwood) and Taxus (yew). http://www.rhs.org.uk/rhsplantfinder/plantfinder.asp Coerulea bring up three spruces. There's also a Juniperus horizontalis 'Turquoise Spreader'. -- Stewart Robert Hinsley |
