I have *no* association at all with Gardenbanter, but I think it's a great idea bringing newsgroups & forums together like that! Hopefully many more newsgroups & forums will do it. Mary |

Hopefully many more newsgroups & forums will do it. Gardenbanter is making money from their ads on the backs of the people who post information and advice here freely and out of goodwill and an interest in and enthusiasm for gardening. That is /not/ what usenet is about, and there are many people on urg and other newsgroups who do not wish their posts to be used in that way. There are some who filter out postings made via Gardenbanter, so the posters there are not getting as much advice as they might otherwise do. -- Sally in Shropshire, UK Burne-Jones/William Morris window in Shropshire church with conservation churchyard: http://www.whitton-stmarys.org.uk |

So why try to advertise it? Hopefully many more newsgroups & forums will do it. This is a very good newsgroup and does not require being 'bought together with any other'! Mary |
