He was a drip and got the whole lot of them down rather badly at times.
It's "Survive the Savage Sea".

Sorry, I should have given the author's name. He was Douglas Robertson
and
their 'adventure' happened in 1972. He and his wife, Lyn, are now dead
and
their three children have gone on to other things though at least one
still
sails. Douglas Robertson also wrote a manual on survival at sea and
Survive
the Savage Sea is something of a classic. I believe it's recommended
reading in schools but might be misremembering about that. Can't
remember
the sixth member of the crew, the 'bum', I'm afraid.

Same sort of story but only 38 days. The book I read was of only 3 people
and a Boat Bum and 146 days :-))

38 days to 146 is rather different :-((

Kind regards

Default FOA Bob Richards

Thanks for the email, but the book you are talking about is ""Blue Water""
by Bob Griffiths.

Yes he had some horrendous accidents and storms, but 'rode' them all out.
