I put one in last year, and it did very little last year, apart from growing lots of new canes, but this year is an abundance of fruit. It fruits on one year old canes, so next year will bear fruit. You have to prune it to take account of this. -- To reply direct rot13 me bURRt the 101 Camper www.simoni.co.uk 200TDi Disco with rotten floor 200 TDi DIsco, "the offroader" 1976 S3 Lightweight |

Be patient. Any newly planted plant will spend some time establishing a good root system before putting on top growth. The new growth it pus on later this year is what will give the berries for next year. Each year cut to the ground any canes that have fruited. -- Kay |
