Default Growing freesias

In June, in Guernsey, I bought a pack of freesia corms.
I grew them in a pot and now have a lot of leaves about 1 foot high,
but no sign of flowers.
My question is, what do I do with them now? Are they at all hardy?
I have no greenhouse, and nowhere much for protection.
My acidanthera (I still call them that!) are about 2 foot high, also
with no flowers. I have done as I did last year and put them in the
dark of my garage, to die down.
Are freesias equally tender? Can I do the same?
Would fleece give enough protection?
Any advice gladly accepted.

You can have winter-flowering freesias as well as summer flowering ones.
If the pot is not too big I suggest you bring them indoors and put them on
say a kitchen window sill. The wonderful fragrance will cheer up the dullest
winter day.

Thanks. I wasn't quite sure when they were supposed to flower and
thought they ought to die down. If I can get some flowers indoors,
I'll certainly try that.
