Ok folks; thanks to everyone who replied about what I should do with my
unriupe pears.
Some of the info was very useful.
Looks like I just have to be patient and the pears will ripen in due course
but I have to get used to the timing and what to watch for.
To early and they shirvel; too late and they rot (once picked and brought
indoors to ripen).
