There are a few things happening, I think. It could be you only have a half
inch of soil, depending on where you live in Austin. OR, the machine you rented
was not on the correct depth setting. Either way, I no longer do my own
aeration, I have Aeration King Inc. do it. His name is Mike Stangle: 610-5302.
I haven't seen or heard from him since last spring, but he did an excellent job
for 40 dollars.
