hot, sunny, slopey, rocky soil
Any ideas on drought tolerant perennials I can plant on a slope that will
thrive in rocky soil with full sun all day? I'd like "set it and forget it" type plants, preferably flowering but not required. Thanks for your ideas! |

Bluebonnet comes to mind right off the bat, or you can pick up a "Native Trail Mix" from the LBJ Wildflower center and have bloomies almost all year long www.wildflower.org -- ************************************************* Scott H. Once you get one going, it self-seeds everywhere. http://www.magnoliagardensnursery.co...onia_Rock.html |

Two good local sources for xeric, native and adapted plants are the Natural Gardener and Barton Springs Nursery. Check them out. For online sources, nobody beats yuccado.com -- Victor M.
