UK farm profitability to jun 2002

However, I think this is not a field where we can expect perfect measures, the question must be whether the effect you point to is likely to have skewed numbers to render the measure useless for its purpose. to chose a particularly bad measure and then bewail the fact that we cannot expect perfect measures seems particularly asinine -- Jim Webster "The pasture of stupidity is unwholesome to mankind" 'Abd-ar-Rahman b. In article , Jim Webster writes Sorry, voluntary bankruptcy. fair enough, but remember they might have to wait to be evicted because otherwise they are voluntarily homeless. Or moving out to rented accommodation and throwing yourself on the mercy of the benefit system. would a voluntarily bankrupt have the deposit? Drifting from the thread but it raises an interesting question which has nothing to do with farmers as such. I am not sure what the general situation is but a lot of landlords seem to want the money a month in advance from new tenants. -- Jim Webster "The pasture of stupidity is unwholesome to mankind" 'Abd-ar-Rahman b. UK farm profitability to jun 2002
In article , Torsten Brinch
writes How cheaply can you live where you are? For comparison in some areas of Liverpool or Birmingham more than half of households have managed to cut their total annual living expenses to less than £10,000. My annual drawing from this farm is £2400. I have other income such as fishing rent, land rent, workshop rent which I am not allowed to class as *farm* income. My wife has a modest pension and both children are living away from home. Fortunately the bulk of the land is owned otherwise I would have been forced to accept Dave Robert's solution. regards -- Tim Lamb |
