New Dawn
Hi I live in Cornwall Ontario zone 5. We are on the border of New York
State. I am considering growing the climbing rose New Dawn. Has anyone in that area grown that rose. If so did it need any special winter protection or can it be treated like the explorer roses. Tahnks in advance for any help. Brian |

Brian Hi Brian, although I do not live in Canada - I am in fact from Europe, Germany Zone 5 - I would recommend it, as it is very winter hardy and busy blooming till the frost comes. The only downside is, that the growth is somewhat "untidy". It has long, thick canes which grow in all directions. Neither climber nor bush without a little effort. Grow it and you surely will not be disappointed. Johanes |
