My name is Ron, and I'm part of a group that is working to have a
new pond newsgroup created. This group (the one you are now reading)
was pretty much destroyed over the past 2 years by trolls.

The new group will be called rec.ponds.moderated, and it should
be up and running within a month, _ if_ we get enough visible
support from persons like you.
For now, you can ask your questions here, and hopefully they will
get legitimate answers from the few long-time ponders who still scan
this group. But also be prepared to be crossed by several unpleasant
trolls. If possible, I suggest that you just ignore them. They are
very angry that rec.ponds.moderated will likely soon be approved.

I would like to ask you to go to the newsgroup called
"news.groups.proposals" and leave a message there offering your
support for the creation of "rec.ponds.moderated". This is very, very
important.

An organization called "Big8" is responsible for the creation
of certain newsgroups, and that ogranization oversees
"news.groups.proposals" N.G.P is the place for persons to discuss
the creation of a new group, and also to offer their support.

N.G..P is a new group itself. If your news provider doesn't yet
offer it, please ask them to add it.

And then _ please_ go to n.g.p and express your support for the
creation of rec.ponds.moderated.
With enough support from persons like you, the new group will
be created. "Big8" needs to see that there is strong visible
support for the new group before it will authorize the creation of
"rec.ponds.moderated". The more support we get, the better.

Hopefully, in the near future you will be able to come to this
group(rec.ponds) if you want to, but you will _ also_ be able to go
to rec.ponds.moderated, where you are guarenteed to find on-topic
answers, information and support for any of your ponding, water
garden, or fish questions. And you will be free from the pitiful
situation that this current group is in.

So please go to n.g.p and add your voice of support.

Thats a pretty big assumption to be made by a never before seen user
of rec.ponds whose only goal is to create a moderated group in which
he and the others have strict control so they have a elite closed
group they pretend is meant to help others but in all reality is a
private domain for their own use. Do a google search, you'll not find
this so called preacher man anywhere in any rec.ponnds group posts
until now.


The new group will be called rec.ponds.moderated, and it should

Look at what happend to those that supported the NAZI, and other
dictatorships, and thats what a moderated forum is going to be
like....too much leaway no matter what the group charter says.....and
their selection of moderators are by far some of the worst biased

They have alsways been answered here, and if you could eliminate the
problmeatic posters yu have never had problems getting a reply to any
posts made. Koi lo and Zebulon are just two (same person by the way
also know simply as Carol) of the worst persons here and are known to
give out info that is harmfull or phlagarized sp?.

Why would one want to contribute to a group that is restricting fredom
of speech. These folks have ben known to be one sided and biased, so a
moderated or controlled group is what they want for their own purpose,
not the purpose of shitting out trolls as they claim.

Why go through all that hassle for a group to suport a moderated group
with all the intents of stripping your freedom of speech away in
suport of their selfish goals. To many oflks in this world died for
freedom of speech just to let a bunch of biased fooks take that
freedom away once again........vote no! use your kill filters to
eliminate noise an dits simple.....and no freedom of speech is
compromised by a few biased individuals with more on their agenda than
fullfilling a regulated forum.

Reall the less they get the better. The ones respoinsible for this mso
called moderation have suceeded in messing up a few other forums as
well. A charter means nothing, as its up to the moderators to enforce
the charter, and its only a bunch of words that is not worth its
intent since it has to be presneted a certain way for a new group to
be able to be approved, but once its formed its up to mnods to enforce
it, with out any futher insight by the BIG 8....

Hopefully, in the near future you will be able to come to this
group(rec.ponds) if you want to, but you will _ also_ be able to go

answers, information and support for any of your ponding, water

You can go to many web based forums and ge more in line with more
mmodern technology and more up to date people who really know
something about ponds and fish instead of a few that think they

going to control every word you say will do.

I am not a troll and I am not flaming anyone nor am I trolling. Just
providing a headsup to all. Do a google search on this dude Ron and
you'll see he never posted or was interested in rec.ponds befopre. He
is best left to attend to his parishoners in his backyard church.
