the algae on the wood backing. I had just topped up the pond and they could reach
higher. Ingrid

I have exactly that same thing happen with the fish in my wifes three
tier half barrel water garden....The cypress board the old style hand
pump is mounted on accumulates algae from the water spashing,, and
they would often be seen jumping up to get at this algae..........

I wonder if this is a reason the Chinese talk about dragons being carp that "jump the
gate"?
