Out of some reason I am in counting mood today, so here are some counts I
have made: Total of orchids in my apartment: 18 (including 2 that were not here a week ago) Of these orchids, 16 are Phals/Dtps, 1 Paph and 1 cochleanthes Of my 16 Phals/Dtps, 11 are in the process of sprouting a new leaf, and 7 of them are currently in bloom. All together (counting the Phal's leaves only, not the cochleanthes or the Paph), they have about 105 leaves total (unless I lost count) for an average of about 6.5 leaves each (this does not mean that every Phal has that many, since one of them has 14 leaves for example). The bay leaf (honorary orchid, and the only plant in the household that is primarily David's plant not mine) has 93 leaves, and since it is growing new leaves very fast, I am thinking I will have to buy more Phals soon to ensure that there are more Phal leaves in the apartment then bay leaves. :-) Life is good.
