Lawn weeds
I am a realitive newcomer and need advice on killing weed on my garden, its a large area of about a third of an acre so I need a decent product possibly liquid based. I have dogs so do not want to use anything that will cause them any danger. I believe the weed is clover though I cant attach a picture (I guess because i'm a newbie).
Any advice appreciated. |

If you do want to get rid of it, there are herbicides that are specifically targeted for clover and you can apply them with a tank sprayer. A general purpose broadleaf weedkiller is not generally very effective against clover. You could also overseed in Fall, which would give you more grass relative to the clover. If it's some other broadleaf weed then a general broadleaf herbicide for turn works in most cases. Without getting into the whole debate of how safe any lawn chemicals are for pets, at the very least, I'd minimize the amount used and keep them off it for a week or so after application. |
