Hi,
If you like to garden, and want to help others learn more about flowers and plants I would like your help. I just started a new search engine, Zeedex.com. It gives people lists of suggestions to help them narrow their searches. I would really like to see some lists on gardening (african violet diseases, types of roses, good plants for x type of climate, etc.) As a way of saying "Thanks" for creating a list, if you have a site you would like to promote, there is also an area where you can create a text ad, free of charge. The ad will be displayed next to the list. If you would like to share your knowledge, this is how to create a list, and a text ad: 1. Go to Zeedex.com. 2. Try doing a search for "dogs" so you can see what some lists look like. (Please don't skip this step. It will show you what a well-formatted list should look like.) 3. Register by clicking on the "Register" link at the top right. (The "About me" section is also a good place to tell more about your organization) 4. After registering, click on the "Create a list" link. This will take you into the edit screen, and you will be prompted to enter some information about your list: Title: (the title for your list, e.g. Famous Buildings) Keywords: (related words that aren't in the title or the terms themselves. E.g. Architecture) Search Term: (This is the first term in your list, e.g. Empire State Building. Do not put more than one search term in this box. To add more terms, press the "add search terms" button) Description: (An optional description of the term. e.g. The Empire State Building is a skyscraper in New York City. It was built in 1931, and is the tallest building in the city) Image: (This is an optional link to a picture of the term. For this example, it might be http://www.site.com/empire.jpg) Click on "Add Search Terms", and you can add your next Search term, description, and image. You can click the button again and add as many search terms as you like. When you are done creating your list, enter your sponsorship information at the bottom. This will become the text ad. When you are done, press "save" and your list will be created. That's it! If you want to add another item later, just search for the list from the main page. Once it comes up, click on the "edit" link in the lower right corner of the list, and then enter any changes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Russell |
