Interesting Fruit Show near Chicago
Midwest Fruit Explorers is having their annual Fruit Show at the Chicago Botanic
Garden in Glencoe this weekend Oct 20-21 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. This is a not for profit group where members are encouraged to grow fruit, berries, and nuts in their backyards. On display will be fruit grown by members and a working cider press. Heritage and unusual apples and cider will be on sale to benefit the club. The event is held indoors at Burnstein Hall of the Regenstein Center inside the garden. There is no entrance fee to the show, but the Botanic Garden charges for parking unless you belong to an associated garden. Check the web site for Midfex at www.midfex.org for more details. |
