This might be one of those sites that harvest our photos. IMHO
"sixtyfive" wrote in message ... Hi everyone, I thought you would be interested in visiting a new gardening picture site called 'GardenRatings.com' (http://www.gardenratings.com) The site allows you to post up to 16 pictures of your garden/landscaping and allows others to rate them and post comments. It is currently in its early stages so you are invited to join and post your own pictures if you wish. This new site is not trying to compete against this forum and will not include a forum section. It is just a simple website where you can enjoy looking at garden pictures. Note to moderators : If this is out of place then please feel free to move or delete my post. -- sixtyfive |

Who the heck needs a web site to post to. This is the place to post to. Unfortunately a lot of people, especially the younger internet folk, have never heard of Usenet and Newsgroups. They believe the internet is the www and only the www and cannot understand there is something older. It's why a lot use web sites like gardenbanter.co.uk to post to all the gardening related newsgroups, they cannot compute that they can post direct to a newsgroup and that newsgroups are not part of a web site. Sad really when the same youngsters think they know it all. Even with a Windows OS, in Live Mail or Outlook Express the word "Newsgroup" appears in the toolbar, yet they don't think to click to see what it does. I thought this strange but have discovered a lot of newer users don't use a mail client program on their computer but use web based mail instead. -- Regards Bob Hobden W.of London. UK |
