I found this mystery critter in one of my containers. Does anyone know what it is, and if it's going to cause harm to my plants?
Thanks! |

They are the larvae of the Vine Weevil so, yes, they will do your plants harm. They eat the roots of plants and then, once adult, eat the plants themselves. http://apps.rhs.org.uk/advicesearch/...e.aspx?pid=234 Using a John Innes soil based compost will help as they seem to favour peat or similar based composts. -- Regards Bob Hobden W.of London.
