Out here in the High Mojave Desert of Calif. they are a normal plant, I've

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like 'Poke Salad' here, it' really poisonous. I had a dog once that ate a bit of the root and he was on IV's for three days. Anyone who has gotten any part of this plant in them is now 6ft under, it's
