Hello.
I recently purchased a 6-gallon Eclipse tank. It has an 8 watt fluorescent fixture, and currently has no inhabitants. I was wondering if I could plant it? If so, what plants would you suggest? As far as what kind of fish I'm planning to have, it's currently a debate between a pair of Lemon Guppies or a pair of Black Rasboras and maybe a Cory with either. ~Any~ suggestions you might have on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Dominique ^-^ |

java moss, anubias and a few crypts have worked for me. with so little light
they will grow slowly which should make some things easier. at these levels i haven't found any need for supplemental co2. to make sure you don't get an algae problem get the plants going well before you have too many fish. one nice trick i saw mentioned somewhere is to use a coconut shell piece to grow the java moss on. the article suggested setting a damp coconut shell on a plate then clipping bits of javamoss and letting them fall onto the shell until it is covered with clippings. then place the plate and shell under a glass cover and place it near a window where it can get daylight but not direct sunlight. keep it misted and the javamoss will take hold after a couple of weeks and completely cover the shell giving you a nicely covered bit for the tank which is easy to remove and give a periodic haircut. jtm -- Remove NOSPAM for email replies "Dominique" wrote in message ...
