Which aquatic plants (if any) behave as perennials?
I am setting up my tank and I've read that most aquatic plants in
aquaria, even though they are perennials in their natural setting, will behave like annuals and die off after a few months to a year. I'd like to buy plants that, with good light, nutrients and pruning, will survive indefinitely. Firstly, is it true that aquatic plants are prone to dying off (because of lack of a "dry season")? Which plants last the longest , and look healthiest for the longest? Thanks. |

Which aquatic plants (if any) behave as perennials?
99% of the aquatic plants we keep do not die like annuals.
In nature it will happen due to seasonal changes, eg temp, snow, drought etc. Ottelia is one genra and some Aponogetons sometimes behave this way when kept at higher temps. Virtually everything else keeps growing well. Regards, Tom Barr (cindy) wrote in message . com...
