[IBC] updates on Japanese quince & mites
To be absolutely thorough in answering this, I should also mention that aphids, being insects, have six legs, while mites, being acarids, have eight. I dare you to count the legs, Luc.

[IBC] updates on Japanese quince & mites
Sound like aphids (which are a little bigger than a flea). Spider mites are so small you can't see the color of their legs with the naked eye!!!! They make tiny webs, and that's usually what you notice.
Aphids can be washed off with a hard stream of water. Most aphids have no wings, so when you wash them off, it takes a while to walk back. No, seriously. You *can* pick them off by hand, too, but the baby aphids are hard to see. There's nothing wrong w ith Schultz's pyrethrin spray: it's a fairly safe insecticide, and it's very effective on aphids. ----Original Message----- Date: Tue Feb 24 14:23:38 EST 2004 From: "luc tran" Subject: [IBC] updates on Japanese quince & mites To: Hi all, Okay, I am not crazy .
