[IBC] Abelia and Camelellia sasanqua
We're all supposed to design a tree at our next club meeting.
I've been making the rounds of the 35 (or so) nurseries in my town and have found: 1. An Abelia chinensis with a truly awesome nebari and lower trunk, and 2. A Camellia sasanqua with a nice base, very nice trunk line and useable top. Your thoughts on the relative merits of the two will be appreciated. (Have found any number of nice J. chinensis (Sargenti) and J. davurica expansa 'Parsoni'), but I'd rather not use them, given a choice.)
