[IBC] Pictures of Colin Lewis from Mid-Atlantic
I was the lucky raffle winner of Colin Lewis' demonstration planting at
Mid-Atlantic last weekend. Colin created a fascinating study in perspective. He planted two slabs. The rear slab was just planted at the back with small Korean hornbeams. Another slab was planted with a large (approx. 14" tall) specimen, a smaller principal tree (around 9") and some smaller trees. This slab was placed atop the front edge of the other slab. The final effect was similar to the drawing Colin made at the beginning of the presentation. The viewer sees the large trees as quite close, framing the far view of the rear slab trees. The sense of space is very dramatic. I hope to post some pics soon on the Gallery. If anyone has any photos of the demonstration as it was taking place, I'd really appreciate getting copies. Thanks in advance, Mike Pollock Pound Ridge, NY Zone 6 "ish" ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Evergreen Gardenworks++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
