My poor spring onions!
My spring onions were growing happily in a pot, and were at about the
right size to harvest. However, they are now thoroughly infested with what appear to be black aphid like creatures. In places, the spring onions are black with them. What can I do to remove them? Bear in mind that this is something I plan to eat, so no pesticides, please! Tom Elliott remove `mapsitna' from email address to reply by email. |

Probably they are tripes. Don't know what they use, but commercial onion
growers spray them with something. You might look up tripes on the Internet and see what they offer to control them, if you don't get a better response from the newsgroup.
