Giant morning glory?
These things have started sprouting up all over now that cooler weather
has returned. They seem to grow wild. They blossom early in the morning
but begin to wilt when the sun touches them. They are huge blossoms. (I
apologize for using the Coke can; it was the only thing to hand for
showing scale.) The stems and leaves resemble those of woody plants.
giant morning glory 2012-09-19 08.01.47 pod.jpg is a detail showing a
pod of some kind.
What are these?
TIA
