Default Best Time to Plant Chilli Seeds

Thanks for the replies.

Last year I planted the seeds in a minipropogator in the airing cupboard with 100% germination success, and all the plants went on to grow well, but the fruit was too late.

This year I'm thinking of sowing in the same way, but in February, then growing in the conservatory until late may. Is feb too early?

Normally with seeds you get far more than you want so why not try sowing
some in Feb and then more in March and see what works best for you.
Are you planting them into open ground or keeping them in pots?
I'd grow a few in pots so that you can move them into the conservatory
in the Autumn and prolong their growing season.
